PAFC is a group of highly engaged, cross-sector entities with a shared vision for a localized food system that increases access to healthy, affordable, culturally appropriate, sustainably produced food. The Collaborative views food as not only a basic need and a human right, but also as a re-generator of the local economy.
The PAFC will expand, coordinate, and connect options for local and sustainable food production, distribution, and education regarding purchasing and preparing healthy food. These efforts will increase healthy food access, healthy food consumption, and reduce waste, ultimately leading to improved health and economic outcomes for Borough of Pottstown residents.
Great question! P.A.F.C. is a community collaborative, which means that it is more of a project than an organization. Representatives from several local non-profit organizations have come together in a volunteer capacity to make P.A.F.C. happen!
We love that our community wants to help support our work here at P.A.F.C.! There is no direct way to donate monetarily to P.A.F.C. at this time. However, all of our partner organizations are always in need of donations!
If you would like to get involved with P.A.F.C. and donate your time, that's a different story! We will be posting updates in the coming months on how community members can donate their time and other resources to the Collaborative.
The best place to get updates right now is by following our Social Media pages! All of our socials are linked below.Â
We are planning on launching a newsletter with updates in the near future as well, so keep an eye out for that announcement!
